We had people from various teams in the Roads and Drainage, Traffic, Programming and Design areas of Council. I found the training to be highly beneficial. The training room at Albany Creek was very well equipped and we were fed and watered throughout the day. Anyone who knows MS Project would understand that it can be a bit of a 'brain drain' but the trainer ensured that it was broken up in such a way that we didn't get confused and thereby lose interest. This was mainly because of the fact that, for a small fee, we had a Training Needs Assessment with the trainer a couple of weeks prior to the training. We wanted this because we use the software in a basic way and we wanted training specific to our needs. The trainer used our Program during training, which was of obvious benefit to us. I have previously trained with a high profile company in the City, but found that not only was the location at Albany Creek more accessible to us (there was plenty of parking available) but most importantly the training itself was better. It was also good to have the training off site so that there were no distractions. Previous on-site training at Council had been interrupted by people coming down to talk with one of the attendees.
